Along the ancient Etruscan road to Rome through the gentle hills covered by olive groves that degrade all around the Trasimeno Lake, rises the S. Apollinare Castle with its imposing embattled tower. The fine Byzantine building is named after Ravenna’s archibishop: “Apollinare”.

When entering to the romantic cloister, you can see a charming medieval well; then, on your way trough the old village, that has kept its feudal structure, you’ll be enchanted by a magical atmosphere, rich of the flavours and the poetry of past times.

The Castle has been renovated recently, in total respect of original structure; the great Knights’s Lodge has thus been given back to the ancient splendour, just like the elegant halls that saw the glorious deeds of the Graziani Marquises, a noble family of Perugia, that lived here for four hundred years.

The medieval garden full of flowers and ancient herbs gives magic moments to the guests, adding a scented touch to the unforgettable summer evenings.
